Tanning tips

Contactless spray tan skin prep

We recommend you exfoliate prior to your contactless spray tan. It will soften the surface of your skin and make it smoother, allowing you to have an even tan application.

If you’re going to shave or wax, be sure to do so before your spray tan so you don’t remove your colour too early.

Before your contactless spray tan

Always apply a barrier cream to your palms, back of hands, elbows, knees, back of ankles, and your feet. This will protect any dry areas and leave you with a very natural looking tan. Reminder that we have barrier cream available for your convenience at our spray tan studio.

When to get a spray tan

Try to get a spray tan 2 days prior to your event as your colour will be fully developed and looking its best.

Post spray tan

Never wash with soap when initially rinsing off your spray tan. Your contactless spray tan is still developing even after you rinse it off and it will continue to develop over the next 12 hours.

The secret to helping your spray tan last is keeping your skin moisturised. Moisturise morning and night to keep you hydrated and your colour last longer.

Contactless spray tan care

Always pat dry skin with a towel after your shower. Rough or heavy rubbing will take your spray tan off quicker after a hot shower as your pores are open and skin is softened.
